About The Position

The Assistant Salon Director helps maintain a high-energy, positive, client-centric salon environment while driving store performance and operational excellence. The role supervises and develops Tanning Consultants, supports the Salon Director in managing revenue, expenses, staffing, and salon operations, and helps the team meet or exceed productivity goals. The position requires five days of work per week, approximately 40 to 45 hours depending on hourly or salary status, and management coverage on nights and weekends as required.

Requirements

Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.

Strong leadership skills and knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.

Reliable ability and transportation to go to the bank as needed.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts when business needs require.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to bend, lift or assist with lifting items and heavy boxes, and perform salon cleaning tasks.

Nice To Haves

College education preferred, but not required.
Management and/or sales experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment.
Lead by example in company operations, client service, and personal sales.
Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
Establish clear goals and objectives for team members.
Coach, train, and provide feedback to improve team members’ performance.
Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with Salon Director functions.
Assist the Salon Director in controlling revenue and expenses.
Help maintain appropriate staffing levels to support productivity and customer service while controlling labor costs.
Work nights and Saturdays and Sundays as needed to provide management coverage.
Travel to the bank as needed.
