About The Position

At Ability Beyond, the Assistant Residential Program Manager helps residents live fulfilling and independent lives by supporting staff and providing high-quality care in a positive, mission-driven environment. The role includes guiding staff, assisting residents with daily activities, and helping maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful program. Positions are available at multiple programs across the Greater Danbury Area, with guaranteed set schedules that may combine first (day) and second (evening) shifts. Weekend availability is required. Pay is $21 to $21.50 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of full-time related experience, or 2 years of college in a related field and 1 year of full-time related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered, insured vehicle.
• Ability to complete required Medication Administration, CPR, and First Aid certifications within designated timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for the individuals served.
• Provide direct assistance with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene.
• Support household routines such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and transportation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and safeguard personal belongings.
• Train and mentor Direct Care Professionals to deliver high-quality care.
• Promote community engagement through employment, recreation, and volunteer opportunities.
• Serve as a hands-on leader who models professionalism, positivity, and empathy.
