About The Position

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for rent collection and posting, delinquency follow-up, move-out procedures, monthly reporting, resident services, and leasing. The role also assists the Property Manager with assigned property operations and compliance with company policies and applicable laws. This is a temporary position.

Requirements

Two years of experience as an assistant property manager in the multifamily industry.
Property accounting experience, including rent collection, eviction processes, and delinquency management.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
A valid driver's license and automobile insurance may be required, depending on the property.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of property management platforms such as Yardi, Entrata, Yieldstar, or CRM.
Apartment leasing experience.

Responsibilities

Post monthly rent, application fees, deposits, and resident collections to the company platform promptly.
Perform leasing duties, including renewals, as needed.
Collect amounts owed after move-out for damages, additional cleaning, and other charges.
Contact delinquent residents by letter and in person to collect payment, with the goal of having no balance due by accounting month-end.
File eviction paperwork with the property's attorneys and attend court.
Process vacating residents' move-outs in the computer system to maintain accurate occupancy records.
Prepare month-end closeout reports, including occupancy and accounting month-end reports, and process Statements of Deposit Accounts (SODA).
Stand in for the Property Manager when unavailable.
Adhere to company policies, including safety and Fair Housing policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
