About The Position

The Rucks Department of Management invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Organizational Behavior/ Human Resource Management at the Assistant Professor rank to begin in Fall 2027. Senior Assistant Professors are encouraged to apply. Applicants with prior tenure-track experience should have a strong research record commensurate with experience and junior candidates must show promise for the development of a solid research agenda. This position requires the Assistant Professor to teach management courses at the undergraduate and graduate-level and to conduct research and publish in top management journals or those in closely related fields.

Requirements

PhD/D.B.A. in Management or related field; ABD candidates will be considered.
Primary area in organizational behavior/ human resource management.
Demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching or demonstrated potential for excellence.
Valid U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and maintain that valid work authorization throughout employment.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses (primarily in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management). Normal teaching load is two courses per semester, i.e., four courses per academic year.
Engage in academic research and publish in academic journals in management or in closely related fields.
Undertake assignments normally associated with teaching, scholarship, and University service.
