About The Position

Michigan Technological University is seeking a Tenure-track faculty position in Management at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor for our College of Business department, with an anticipated start date of Fall 2027. We seek candidates with demonstrated expertise in Strategy and Entrepreneurship and the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, International Management, and other related areas consistent with the needs of the College. Applicants must have earned a doctoral degree in Management or a closely related discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution by the time of appointment. Candidates applying for the rank of Associate Professor must possess a record of scholarly achievement, including publications and other accomplishments in high-quality journals, that warrants appointment at the associate professor level.

Requirements

PhD in Management from an AACSB-accredited school
Evidence of research activity leading to publication of scholarly work in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals appropriate to the field of study commensurate with rank.
Evidence of the ability to independently teach management courses.
Proficiency in English to teach and conduct research in English.

Documented teaching experience in an institution of higher education with excellent teaching evaluations commensurate with the rank.

Demonstrated ability to design and deliver an academic course in areas of expertise, in both on-campus and online formats.
Documented broad knowledge and skills across business disciplines.
Demonstrated success in, or potential future contributions to, working with people with a wide variety of backgrounds and viewpoints.
