About The Position

The College of Health Professions invites applications for a tenure-track, 9-month Assistant Professor or Associate Professor position in the Department of Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science. Requirements

Earned research doctoral degree by February 28, 2028.
Licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Maryland.
Teaching experience in occupational therapy or occupational science.
Active research agenda with capacity for scholarly productivity and external funding.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated awareness and clear articulation of strategies to foster an inclusive learning environment.
Commitment to excellence in teaching, advising, scholarship, and service.
For Associate Professor rank: 6 years of experience teaching in higher education or comparable qualifications, and demonstrate a clear line of research with scholarly outcomes.

Responsibilities

Facilitate classroom and applied learning experiences for diverse graduate professional students in occupational therapy and occupational science.
Advise and mentor students.
Direct student research at the doctoral level.
Conduct and disseminate research.
Seek external funding to support focused area of inquiry.
Participate in active service to the department, college, university, community, and profession.
