About The Position

The College of Business Administration (COBA) at Texas A&M University-Central Texas is seeking a qualified Assistant or Associate Lecturer in Marketing to begin in Fall 2026. This is a renewable, fixed-term faculty position with potential for summer teaching. The role requires a dynamic individual passionate about teaching, with a proven record of excellence in both classroom and online instruction, and the ability to teach various courses. While the primary need is for marketing courses, there are opportunities to teach in areas such as project management, management, and business ethics based on the applicant's qualifications. The ideal candidate will be an innovative faculty member with industry experience, a strong teaching record in multiple formats, and experience in academic program development.

Requirements

  • Possess a terminal degree (doctorate) in marketing or a closely-related discipline. ABD applicants will not be considered.
  • Have at least three (3) years of full-time teaching experience at the baccalaureate level or higher.
  • Be eligible for the AACSB “scholarly academic” or “professional academic” faculty classification.
  • Have a documented track record of successfully teaching the primary courses needed for this position (marketing, services marketing, etc.).
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional academic and/or professional qualifications to support teaching in secondary or tertiary disciplines.
  • At least two (2) additional years of full-time teaching experience, including graduate courses.
  • Industry experience, including ongoing engagement.
  • Program development and student recruiting experience.
  • A documented track record of successfully teaching courses in some of the secondary instructional areas listed (project management, business ethics, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality instruction for four or five courses per term, primarily at the undergraduate level, in face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats.
  • Support the BBA Marketing program by teaching courses such as principles of marketing, services marketing, and promotional strategy.
  • Teach in one or more secondary areas such as project management, business ethics, and general management as needed by the department.
  • Propose and deliver new courses to explore new content areas and add value to student career aspirations and academic programs.
  • Engage in scholarly and/or professional activities sufficient to maintain "scholarly academic" or "professional academic" status per AACSB faculty classifications.
  • Participate in service expectations primarily related to supporting the Management & Marketing Department and the College of Business Administration, including recruiting events, department/college meetings, accreditation tasks, and industry partner focus groups.
