About The Position

The College of Business Administration (COBA) at Texas A&M University-Central Texas is seeking an Assistant or Associate Lecturer in Management to start in Fall 2026. This is a renewable, fixed-term faculty position with potential for additional summer teaching. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and collegial individual with a passion for teaching, a proven track record of excellence, and qualifications to teach various courses. The immediate need is for instruction in human resources management and international business, with opportunities to teach leadership, organizational development, and sustainability. The applicant should be an innovative faculty member with a documented track record of teaching excellence in both in-person and online formats, industry experience/engagement, and experience in academic program development/growth. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer, as the university will not pay H-1B petition fees, and a state moratorium may affect sponsorship. Texas A&M University-Central Texas, established in 2009, is an upper- and masters-level institution offering junior- and senior-level baccalaureate coursework and master's degrees. Requirements

  • Possess a terminal degree (doctorate) in management or a closely related discipline.
  • Have at least three (3) years of full-time teaching experience at the baccalaureate level or higher.
  • Be eligible for the AACSB “scholarly academic” or “professional academic” faculty classification.
  • Have a documented track record of successfully teaching courses in human resource management and international business.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional academic and/or professional qualifications to support teaching in primary and secondary areas.
  • At least two (2) additional years of full-time teaching experience, including graduate courses.
  • Industry experience, including ongoing engagement.
  • Program development and student recruiting experience.
  • Have a documented track record of successfully teaching courses in some of the secondary instructional areas listed above.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality instruction for four or five courses per term, primarily at the undergraduate level and in a variety of course delivery formats (face-to-face, online, or hybrid).
  • Primarily support the BBA Management and BBA Human Resources Management programs by providing instruction in personnel and human resource management, international business, and leadership.
  • Support department needs by teaching in one or more secondary areas such as organizational change and development, business sustainability, and general management.
  • Engage in scholarly and/or professional activities sufficient to maintain “scholarly academic” or “professional academic” status per AACSB faculty classifications (e.g., producing scholarship, maintaining a recognized professional certification, attending academic or trade conferences, engaging in consulting or other industry-related activities, and/or completing other relevant professional development activities).
  • Service expectations will be limited primarily to those events, committees, or initiatives that support and promote the Management & Marketing Department and the College of Business Administration (e.g., recruiting events, department/college meetings, accreditation-related tasks, focus groups with industry partners, etc.).
