About The Position

The College of Business Administration (COBA) at Texas A&M University-Central Texas is seeking a qualified Assistant or Associate Lecturer in Management for Fall 2026. This is a renewable, fixed-term faculty position with potential for summer teaching. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, collegial, and passionate about teaching, with a proven record of excellence in both in-person and online formats. The position requires the ability to teach a variety of management courses, with an immediate need for instruction in human resources management and international business. Other potential teaching areas include leadership, organizational development, and sustainability. The university is an upper-level and master's-level institution with a diverse student body, including first-generation students, non-traditional learners, and military-affiliated personnel. The College of Business Administration is AACSB accredited.

Requirements

  • Possess a terminal degree (doctorate) in management or a closely related discipline. ABD applicants will not be considered.
  • Have at least three (3) years of full-time teaching experience at the baccalaureate level or higher.
  • Be eligible for the AACSB “scholarly academic” or “professional academic” faculty classification.
  • Have a documented track record of successfully teaching courses in human resource management and international business.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional academic and/or professional qualifications to support teaching in primary and secondary areas.
  • At least two (2) additional years of full-time teaching experience, including graduate courses.
  • Industry experience, including ongoing engagement.
  • Program development and student recruiting experience.
  • A documented track record of successfully teaching courses in some of the secondary instructional areas (organizational change and development, business sustainability, general management).

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality instruction for four or five courses per term, primarily at the undergraduate level, in various delivery formats (face-to-face, online, or hybrid).
  • Primarily support the BBA Management and BBA Human Resources Management programs by teaching personnel and human resource management, international business, and leadership.
  • Support department needs by teaching in secondary areas such as organizational change and development, business sustainability, and general management.
  • Engage in scholarly and/or professional activities sufficient to maintain "scholarly academic" or "professional academic" status per AACSB faculty classifications.
  • Participate in service expectations, including recruiting events, department/college meetings, accreditation-related tasks, and focus groups with industry partners.
