About The Position

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to Price Chopper customers. Responsible for the nighttime operation of the store in the absence of the Night Manager, overseeing clerks and ensuring shelves are properly stocked and leveled to support sales. The role also orders and receives Warehouse or DSD products and maintains adequate inventory levels. The position oversees the entire Third Shift store operation two to three nights a week. It supports Grocery department operations, including merchandise ordering, receiving deliveries, maintaining merchandising and sanitation standards, managing inventory and shrink, and assisting with the scheduling, hiring, training, development, and performance evaluation of Night Crew Associates. The role is also responsible for Front End and Office operations, refrigeration and security procedures, and nightly and weekly resets.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.

Responsibilities

Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service, including smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customers.
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
Oversee the entire Third Shift store operation two to three nights a week in the absence of the Night Manager.
Oversee clerks and maintain shelf conditions, stock levels, product leveling and blocking, and out-of-stock signs.
Assist in scheduling Night Crew Associates.
Handle Front End and Office operations, including check approvals and nightly resets.
Assist with ordering merchandise and supplies for the Grocery department and meet transmission times.
Store excess product in the back room or designated area and follow corporate guidelines for back-room inventory.
Maintain merchandising standards, including shelf allocation and sale items.
Assist with hiring, training, and developing new Night Crew Associates in Grocery operations.
Discipline or recommend discipline of Night Crew Associates according to company policy.
Follow refrigeration and security procedures during Third Shift and complete weekly and nightly resets.
Unload Warehouse and DSD merchandise deliveries.
Evaluate Store Associates’ performance and progress.
Ensure Third Shift Grocery crew productivity meets standards and assigned tasks are completed.
Implement and maintain corporate and state sanitation and pricing procedures.
Protect company inventory and assets and control shrink by following related policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to company policies and procedures.
