About The Position

The Assistant Moving Center Manager supports the center’s daily operations and may run the center when the General Manager is absent. The role involves making operational decisions, assigning and managing team members, and helping ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and high-quality service. Duties may also include installing hitches and brake controllers and participating in ongoing training through U-Haul University. The position is located at 2101 E Princeton Dr, Princeton, Texas 75407. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. The work may involve moderate risks or discomforts, including working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals; protective gear may be required. Physical work includes spending long periods indoors and outdoors, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving at least 50 pounds, assisted or unassisted.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Leadership experience in any form.
Customer service experience.
Ability to work a variety of shifts.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
In Texas, applicants must not use nicotine products, under the stated hiring practice.

Responsibilities

Run the center’s daily operations in the General Manager’s absence.
Make moment-to-moment decisions about allocating time and resources to appropriate projects.
Manage and assign team members to help ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and high-quality care.
Perform miscellaneous duties, such as installing hitches and brake controllers.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
