About The Position

U-Haul is hiring an Assistant Moving Center Manager to help run the center’s day-to-day operations and take responsibility for operations in the General Manager’s absence. The role involves leading and assigning team members, supporting excellent customer service, making operational decisions about time and resources, and completing equipment-related tasks such as installing hitches and brake controllers. The position includes ongoing training through U-Haul University. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. U-Haul states that it will not hire or re-hire nicotine-product users in Iowa and certain other listed states.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Leadership experience in any form.
Customer service experience.
Ability to work a variety of shifts.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Run the center’s daily operations in the General Manager’s absence.
Make moment-to-moment decisions about allocating time and resources to appropriate projects.
Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and high-quality care.
Perform miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches and brake controllers.
Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.
