About The Position

The Assistant Moving Center Manager supports the day-to-day operations of a U-Haul center and helps ensure customers receive excellent service. The role may take charge of center operations when the General Manager is absent, make decisions about allocating time and resources, and manage team assignments. The position also includes hands-on duties such as installing hitches and brake controllers, along with continued learning through U-Haul University. The role is based at 11300 S Sam Houston Pkwy W Ste 100, Houston, Texas 77031. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Leadership experience in any form.
Customer service experience.
Ability to work a variety of shifts.
Must be legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Run daily center operations in the General Manager’s absence.
Make moment-to-moment decisions about allocating time and resources to projects.
Manage and assign team members to provide customers with an excellent first impression and high-quality care.
Perform miscellaneous duties, including installing hitches and brake controllers.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
