About The Position

U-Haul is seeking an Assistant Moving Center Manager to help run the center’s day-to-day operations. The assistant manager works as part of a team, supports operations in the General Manager’s absence, makes decisions about allocating time and resources, and helps ensure customers receive excellent service. The role may also involve installing hitches and brake controllers and participating in ongoing education through U-Haul University. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. U-Haul states that it will not hire or re-hire nicotine users in Alabama.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Leadership experience in any form.
Customer service experience.
Ability to work a variety of shifts.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Run the center’s daily operations in the General Manager’s absence.
Make moment-to-moment decisions about allocating time and resources to projects.
Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive an excellent first impression and high-quality care.
Perform miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches and brake controllers.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
