About The Position
Foodland Super Market, Hawaii’s largest locally owned grocery retailer is hiring Assistant Meat Managers (Backroom Man) to join the team! This is an hourly position and we offer a comprehensive benefits package (specifics vary based on position and classification). Assistant Meat Managers (Backroom Man) will direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Meat Department in the absence of the Meat Manager. To maintain and operate the Department in an efficient manner and to ensure that performance contributes to the best financial interests of the store. Meat Assistant Managers are responsible for meeting the standards of excellent customer service which includes providing and maintaining good relationships with all coworkers.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
- Must successfully pass apprentice / training program
- Must have TB Clearance
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Meat Department in the absence of the Meat Manager.
- Maintain and operate the Department in an efficient manner.
- Ensure that performance contributes to the best financial interests of the store.
