Assistant Manager - Women's Apparel - Pentagon City
About The Position
The Assistant Manager for Women's Apparel supports the department manager in achieving department volume and productivity goals by developing and executing a business plan. The role recruits, hires, trains, develops, and motivates team members; teaches, coaches, and leads by example to ensure outstanding customer service; and helps maintain merchandising, presentation, and inventory standards. The Assistant Manager actively sells on the floor to build lasting customer relationships and loyalty, and assists with achieving shrinkage goals. This role offers an opportunity for an ambitious leader to develop toward a future Department Manager position. Pay is $40,000–$64,000 annually, with commission varying by merchandise category. The position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.
Requirements
- A track record of successful results, such as strong productivity or personal trade.
- Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence to succeed in a commission-based environment.
- Ability to set and achieve sales goals.
- Experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with department and store managers, divisional retail merchandisers, and other leaders.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
