About The Position

Clarks is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store leadership and help drive sales, performance, and a positive team culture. The role supports recruitment, associate training and development, goal-setting, store operations, merchandising, and the safety and security of associates and customers. The Assistant Manager handles employee relations issues when the Store Manager is absent.

Requirements

Retail experience.
Prior management experience.

Responsibilities

Partner with store leadership to drive a successful culture of sales and performance.
Support a team-selling environment.
Participate in all areas of store recruitment.
Teach, coach, and train store associates within an established timeframe.
Help create reachable, high goals for themselves and associates, and ensure the store has the staffing levels needed to achieve its goals.
Handle employee relations issues within the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
Participate in analysis of the profit and loss statement.
Lead change for associates and champion company initiatives.
Ensure products are merchandised according to company direction.
Ensure the safety and security of associates and customers.
