At AEG, the Assistant Practice Manager supports the Practice Manager in creating a supportive, accountable, and patient-centered practice environment. This hands-on developmental leadership role helps build operational knowledge and leadership capability, with the potential for expanded responsibility over time. The role supports daily practice operations, patient flow, team coordination, and service execution. The Assistant Practice Manager works on the practice floor and learns and supports multiple functions, including patient care coordination, optical sales and service, technician or clinical support, patient handoffs, and daily operational routines. Specific responsibilities may be assigned according to practice needs, business priorities, and individual readiness. The Assistant Practice Manager does not own the full scope of practice management and serves as the practice point of contact during the Practice Manager’s absence only when assigned, escalating matters outside the role’s authority. AEG describes a culture focused on leadership development and internal growth, collaboration, authenticity, continuous learning, and supporting both people and performance.
