About The Position

The Assistant Manager assists with management responsibilities and ensures the efficiency and quality of restaurant operations. The role focuses on customer satisfaction through quick, efficient service and quality products, while maintaining standards for quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitality. It also involves supporting employees, handling accounting and reporting responsibilities, operating restaurant equipment, and helping maintain a positive, cooperative atmosphere among employees and customers. The position is performed under general supervision and requires continuous contact with customers and employees. Work areas may have extreme temperatures and high noise levels; during busy periods, the employee may need to work without food or drink. Training to gain job knowledge normally takes eight to eighteen months.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Be clean, neat, and well groomed.
Have good interpersonal communication skills for working with customers and employees.
Have a basic understanding of fast-food operations, production procedures, and deployment procedures.
Be able to master cash control and understand and ensure adherence to Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Hospitality guidelines.
Understand basic principles of sales forecasting and scheduling, cost control, inventory, profit and loss statements, and personnel administration.
Be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Have good hearing for working with customers and employees and working the drive-through when necessary.
Have good vision to observe store dynamics and operate kitchen equipment safely.
Be honest, assertive, aggressive, and well mannered.
Be able to pay attention to detail, cope with pressure, and remain calm in challenging situations.
Be able to work as a team member and perform duties with minimal disruption to customers or fellow employees.
Be able to tolerate standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and stooping during 90% of shift time.
Have good manual dexterity to work rapidly and accurately during rush periods.

Responsibilities

Assist with management of all restaurant operations.
Help ensure customer satisfaction by providing quick, efficient service and quality products.
Maintain excellence in quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
Create and maintain a positive, cooperative atmosphere among employees and customers.
Assist with hiring, training, and reviewing employee performance.
Perform accounting responsibilities and prepare reports for submission to the home office.
Administer the ACT program.
Prepare customer orders quickly, according to specifications, and with the highest possible quality.
Work as a team member to provide consistent customer satisfaction through excellent quality, service, and cleanliness.
Prioritize work by serving customers first, then maintaining the dining room, then maintaining the work area.
Operate all kitchen equipment and maintain knowledge of its operation.
Acknowledge and speak to customers in a friendly and courteous manner when possible.
Report needed equipment or facility repairs to the Maintenance Department.
Supervise Shift Leaders and Team Members when acting as the Manager in Charge (MIC).
