About The Position

The Assistant Manager assists with management responsibilities and ensures the efficiency and quality of restaurant operations. The role supports customer satisfaction through prompt service and quality products, maintains quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitality standards, and fosters a positive, cooperative atmosphere among employees and customers. It also involves operating and maintaining knowledge of restaurant equipment, supporting employee hiring, training, and performance reviews, handling accounting tasks and reports, and helping manage day-to-day operations. The position works under general supervision and involves continuous contact with customers and employees. Job training normally takes eight to eighteen months.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Must be clean, neat, and well groomed.
Good interpersonal communication skills for working with customers and employees.
Basic understanding of fast-food operations, production procedures, and deployment procedures.
Ability to master cash control and ensure adherence to Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Hospitality guidelines.
Understanding of basic sales forecasting and scheduling, cost control, inventory, profit and loss statements, and personnel administration.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Good hearing to work with customers and employees and to work the drive-through when necessary.
Good vision to observe store dynamics and operate kitchen equipment safely.
Honesty.
Assertive and aggressive manner while remaining well mannered.
Attention to detail and ability to cope with pressure and remain calm in challenging situations.
Ability to work as a team member and perform duties with minimal disruption to customers or fellow employees.
Ability to tolerate standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and stooping during 90% of shift time.
Good manual dexterity to work rapidly and accurately during rush periods.
Ability to work as part of a team to ensure consistent customer satisfaction through excellent quality, service, and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Assist with management of all restaurant operations.

Perform accounting responsibilities and prepare reports for submission to the home office.
Administer the ACT program.
Prepare customer orders quickly, according to specifications, and with the highest possible quality.
Prioritize work by serving customers first, then maintaining the dining room, then maintaining the work area.
Operate all kitchen equipment and maintain knowledge of its operation.
Acknowledge and speak with customers in a friendly and courteous manner when possible.
Report needed equipment or facility repairs to the Maintenance Department.
