About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of a high-energy convenience store and helps keep the store running smoothly across shifts. The role requires open availability, including weekends and holidays, and is expected to work primarily second or third shifts. The Assistant Manager may act as the manager when the Store Manager is off and contributes to customer service, team leadership, inventory, merchandising, scheduling, cash handling, and store upkeep.

Requirements

• Open availability to work weekends, holidays, and likely second or third shifts.
• Valid driver's license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance to complete bank deposits.
• Comfort with cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, and maintaining outside areas such as fuel pumps.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Proficiency in English and basic math skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
• Operate the register and assist customers quickly, accurately, and courteously.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a team focused on customer service and store success.
• Serve as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store, including restrooms, trash areas, and fuel pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules to ensure full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling and deposits, and oversee store financials.
• Provide feedback and leadership to motivate the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
