About The Position
The Cashier/Sales Associate provides customer service and operates the register while helping keep the store clean, safe, organized, and well stocked. The role includes selling lottery, cigarette, and alcohol products in compliance with age-verification and legal requirements; offering friendly service and upselling when appropriate; cleaning restrooms, gas pumps, store areas, and the parking lot; and handling trash in all kinds of weather. Associates may cross-train in other departments, including deli, and help wherever needed. The position requires working on your feet for most of the shift and being comfortable indoors and outdoors in varied weather.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be prepared to work on their feet for most of the shift and work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Ability to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and be subject to a criminal history background check.
- Friendly demeanor and ability to make customers feel welcome.
- Attention to detail.
- Punctuality, trustworthiness, and responsibility.
- Adaptability and willingness to take on varied tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Previous retail or customer service experience is appreciated but not required.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and operate the register accurately and efficiently.
- Learn and sell lottery, cigarette, and alcohol products while complying with age-verification and legal requirements.
- Provide friendly customer service and upsell when possible to increase sales.
- Deep clean high-use restrooms.
- Wipe down and sanitize gas pumps, including nozzles, screens, and water buckets.
- Pick up litter and trash from store floors and the parking lot.
- Take trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise fresh and fully stocked.
- Sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain store entryways and other areas.
- Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Support the team and assist wherever needed.
