About The Position

The Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager with all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and employee training. The role is suited to a candidate with a passion for customer service, a strong work ethic, and a desire to succeed in a fast-paced retail environment. The Assistant Manager also helps maintain a positive, inclusive, safe, and secure store environment.

Requirements

At least 2 years of management or supervisory experience; retail management experience is a plus.
Experience in a retail or customer service environment.
Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising techniques.
Ability to train, coach, develop, and motivate employees.
Effective interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist with merchandising, operations, sales, and customer service.
Promote customer satisfaction by staying knowledgeable about products and collaborating with coworkers to provide excellent sales service.
Partner with the Store Manager to establish and communicate store metrics and expectations, including sales, visual presentation, operations, safety, loss prevention, human resources, payroll and scheduling, and training.
Assist with hiring, training, and developing store employees.
Maintain awareness of product knowledge and current or upcoming products.
Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
