About The Position

The Visionworks Optical Supervisor/Assistant Manager is a leader who supports the business and role models the Visionworks way. This person supervises the store when the General Manager is absent and supports the General Manager in achieving store financial goals through floor leadership, accountability, and coaching and developing associates. The role focuses on providing a simple, human, and bold patient and customer journey. The Assistant Manager promotes store profitability and sales goals, participates in and oversees the patient/customer journey, helps coordinate appointments and eyewear services, supports and motivates associates, resolves obstacles in the customer experience with the General Manager, and executes operational activities to meet financial and customer experience goals.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
1–5 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Promote store profitability and achievement of sales goals by holding oneself and the team accountable for daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
Role model and participate in all steps of the patient/customer journey, and supervise and redirect associates in the exam lane and on the sales floor.
Support the General Manager in managing incoming traffic by coordinating and confirming doctor appointments and scheduled eyewear services, and ensuring patient/customer needs are met.
Coach, motivate, and support associates to excel in their roles and provide a strong patient/customer experience.
Use sound judgment to remove obstacles and resolve issues in the patient/customer experience in partnership with the General Manager.
Execute broad operational activities to meet the store's financial and customer experience goals.
Supervise the store in the absence of the General Manager.
