About The Position

The Assistant Manager helps operate Par Mar stores on a day-to-day basis and supports the Store Manager in ensuring each shift runs smoothly. The role also assists with local store marketing to help reach sales and profit goals, and supports team members through performance and training initiatives. Assistant Managers provide leadership to the store and its employees, assist with successful store operations, and help generate sales and profit growth efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

• Desire to succeed and grow with the company.
• Strong people-oriented leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Valid state driver's license and an insured vehicle.
• Prior knowledge of food handling and safety guidelines.
• Ability to traverse all parts of the store quickly.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods on a hard-surfaced floor.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds at a time.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail management experience.
