About The Position

The Assistant Manager helps operate Par Mar Stores day to day, supports the Store Manager in ensuring every shift runs smoothly, and assists with local store marketing to reach sales and profit goals. The role also supports team members through performance and training initiatives. Assistant Managers assist with successful store operations, provide leadership to the store and employees, and help generate sales and profit growth efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

A desire to succeed and grow with the company.
Preferably at least one year of retail experience.
Strong people-oriented leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Customer service skills.
Valid state driver’s license and an insured vehicle.
Prior knowledge of food handling and safety guidelines.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous retail management preferred.
Ability to traverse all parts of the store quickly.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods on a hard-surfaced floor.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds at a time.

Nice To Haves
