About The Position

The Assistant Manager operates equipment and supports food preparation, order processing, inventory, facility upkeep, and product delivery. The role includes stocking ingredients, receiving telephone orders, completing paperwork, communicating with customers and coworkers, and delivering products and promotional materials within the designated delivery area. It requires accurate cash handling, computer-based order entry, navigation, and the ability to move through varied delivery locations while carrying products.

Requirements

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain while carrying products.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Make correct monetary change.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Communicate with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Deliver products by car to customers’ doors.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Navigate varied terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
