About The Position

The Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused, sales-driven, profitable, and productive store. The role inspires and motivates the team through Pacsun’s core values, supports a customer-focused selling culture, ensures execution of store KPIs, and holds employees accountable to company policies and procedures. This is a part-time position requiring availability for 20–40 hours per week, including weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods.

Ability to frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 35 pounds.
Ability to frequently sit or stand for long periods and climb ladders as needed.
Ability to maneuver around the sales floor, stockroom, and office areas.
Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver an engaging, positive, and authentic customer experience and ensure team members do the same.
Handle customer situations according to policy and procedures, seek positive resolutions, and escalate issues when appropriate.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store and stockroom.
Share customer feedback with the leadership team to improve the customer experience.
Act as floor supervisor as needed, including covering non-peak periods and breaks.
Hold self and others accountable for completing operational tasks.
Coach associates and provide feedback on performance; recognize and reward outstanding performance.
Direct associates so they understand company directives and standards.
Prioritize and delegate tasks to meet operational needs.
Support and execute visual directives and maintain company visual standards.
Drive efficiency in store operations and maintain merchandise flow, filling, and presentation standards.
Ensure associates follow company policies, procedures, and Safety Program practices.
Demonstrate passion for Pacsun products, brands, fashion, and trends, and learn about areas that are unfamiliar.
Model high standards of conduct, integrity, and confidentiality.
Build cross-functional partnerships and promote transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
Represent Pacsun in the industry and marketplace.
Recruit, identify, develop, and retain talent.
