About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer-focused, sales-driven, profitable, and productive store location. The role inspires and motivates employees by modeling company core values, supporting a customer-focused selling culture, ensuring store KPI execution, and holding employees accountable for company policies and procedures. The Assistant Manager supports customer experience, sales floor and stockroom operations, visual standards, associate development, and store safety. This is a part-time position requiring 20–40 hours per week, with flexibility to work weekends, nights, and peak holiday periods.

Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Frequently sit or stand for long periods and climb ladders as needed.
Ability to talk or hear regularly; sit, stand, walk, handle objects, reach, twist, or squat as frequently required.
Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom, and office areas.
Required vision abilities include close and distance vision, depth perception, and adjustment of focus.
Ability to work in an open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.

Responsibilities

Promote a customer-focused mindset and ensure team members provide engaging, positive, and authentic customer experiences.
Handle customer situations in compliance with policy and procedures, seek solutions, and escalate issues when appropriate.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store and stockroom.
Share customer feedback with the leadership team to improve the customer experience.
Serve as floor supervisor as needed, including covering non-peak periods and breaks.
Hold self and others accountable for completing operational tasks.
Coach and provide feedback on Sales Associate performance; recognize and reward outstanding performance to support associate engagement.
Direct associates to ensure they understand company directives and standards.
Prioritize and delegate tasks to meet operational needs.
Support and execute visual directives and maintain company visual standards.
Drive efficiency in store operational processes.
Maintain merchandise flow, replenishment, and presentation standards in the store and stockroom.
Ensure associates follow company policies, procedures, and Safety Program practices.
Represent the PacSun brand through passion for product, brands, fashion, and trends, and show initiative in learning about them.
Model company values and contribute to a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
Recruit, identify, develop, and retain talent.
Balance a strong management presence with approachability and encourage associate feedback and interaction.
Serve as a PacSun advocate in the industry and marketplace.
