About The Position

The Assistant Manager helps operate Par Mar Stores on a day-to-day basis and supports the Store Manager in ensuring each shift runs smoothly. The role also assists with local store marketing to help meet sales and profit goals and supports team members through performance and training initiatives. The Assistant Manager provides leadership to the store and its employees, assists with successful store operations, and supports efficient sales and profit growth. The position requires compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Desire to succeed and grow with the company.
Preferably at least one year of retail experience.
Strong people-oriented leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Customer service skills.
Valid state driver’s license and an insured vehicle.
Prior knowledge of food handling and safety guidelines.
Ability to traverse all parts of the store quickly.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods on a hard-surfaced floor.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds at a time.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous retail management experience preferred.
