About The Position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is hiring an hourly Assistant Manager to lead a team serving scratch-baked bread and pastries, soups, salads, and sandwiches made with whole ingredients. The role calls for a leader who values food quality, customer service, and community, and who can help build and develop a team while supporting restaurant operations. Afternoon and evening availability is required. The position is described as full- or part-time.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of fast-paced restaurant or retail leadership experience.
• Attention to compliance with local, state, and federal food-handler and sanitation regulations.
• Experience meeting operational goals and identifying ways to improve the experience for teams and customers.
• Afternoon and evening availability.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, ingredients, and supplies.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift, with limited opportunities to sit.

Responsibilities

• Lead a dynamic restaurant team and support a consistent, exemplary customer service experience.
• Demonstrate leadership in areas including scheduling and inventory.
• Listen actively to ideas, concerns, and feedback and collaborate with management teams and customers to address obstacles and make improvements.
• Build and develop the team and help team members progress in their careers.
• Support operational goals and compliance with food-handler and sanitation regulations.
