About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports restaurant operations and helps deliver high-quality subs and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. The role includes leading and training crew members, maintaining restaurant cleanliness, and covering for the Manager when needed. The Assistant Manager also handles operational tasks such as opening and closing, food preparation, scheduling, and inventory orders, while modeling accountability, integrity, and a positive attitude.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old to operate the slicer.
Serve Safe Certification - Food Handler.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests.
Excellent menu and product knowledge.
Desire to improve personal skills.
Ability to meet schedule requirements and be a reliable performer.

Nice To Haves

One year of quick-service restaurant (QSR) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a restaurant that is noticeably cleaner than others.
Work in a fast-paced, team-driven atmosphere and multitask with a sense of urgency.
Interact with customers and provide an exceptional experience.
Serve as a key holder and perform tasks related to opening and closing the store.
Bake bread and perform food preparation.
Manage and lead a crew of 3 to 7 people.
Slice products proficiently.
Create employee schedules.
Place inventory orders.
Fill in for the Manager in all capacities when needed.
Assist with employee training and lead by example.
Participate in management team meetings and strategy sessions.
Participate in Jersey Mike's training programs.
Meet schedule requirements and perform reliably.
