About The Position
Taco John's is hiring an Assistant Manager in New Ulm, Minnesota. The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in leading restaurant operations, maintaining profitability and efficiency, and delivering quality food and customer service. The role involves opening or closing the store, working directly with customers, helping lead a team of approximately 20 people—including Shift Managers and crew—and participating in food preparation, order assembly, and customer transactions. The position is 35–40 hours per week, with shifts that may run 6:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m., 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., or 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. The company says it works with employees on scheduling around personal commitments. Compensation is $18.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience, with quarterly bonus opportunities. Requirements
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience in the restaurant industry.

Responsibilities
- Help maintain overall management responsibilities so the restaurant remains profitable, efficient, and operates smoothly.
- Direct and coordinate food preparation, order assembly, and customer transactions, and participate in those activities.
- Interview, hire, and train new team members while coordinating daily activities.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, budgeting, financial reporting, and inventory control.
- Lead by example and actively manage the team to meet budgets and build sales.
- Support the General Manager in leading approximately 20 team members, including Shift Managers and crew.
- Open or close the store and promote safety, cleanliness, and team member success.
