About The Position

Provides acupuncture services to patients whose conditions are amenable to treatment with this modality. Documents care and communicates with referral sources and other treating providers as needed. The position is with Allina Health’s Penny George Institute for Health and Healing New Ulm Clinic in New Ulm, Minnesota, and is a day-shift role with 8-hour shifts and 24 hours per week.

Requirements

• M.S. and/or M.O.M. from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of acupuncture experience.
• Must meet at least one of the following: BLS certification from the American Heart Association; BLS certification from the American Red Cross; or Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire.
• Minnesota Acupuncture License required upon hire.
• National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine certification required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of experience in a hospital or medical clinic-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans, including age-specific and learning-style needs.
• Document patient information and outcome-specific care provided.
• Educate patients and families about treatment and follow-through as needed.
• Facilitate collaborative relationships.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, or other initiatives as needed.
• Promote the goals and vision of Acupuncture as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
