About The Position

Jersey Mike’s Subs is hiring an Assistant Manager to help lead restaurant operations and provide customers with an enjoyable experience through quality subs and customer service. The role works in a fast-paced, team-driven environment and supports the restaurant’s culture of community, personal development, and accountability. The Assistant Manager may fill in for the Manager in all capacities when needed.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• ServeSafe Food Handler certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old to operate the slicer.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Excellent menu and product knowledge.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Desire to improve personal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests.
• Ability to meet schedule requirements and perform reliably.

Nice To Haves

• One year of quick-service restaurant experience preferred.
• An awesome, positive personality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a restaurant that is noticeably cleaner than others.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, team-driven atmosphere and multitask with a sense of urgency.
• Interact with customers and provide an exceptional experience.
• Perform tasks related to opening and closing the store as a key holder.
• Bake bread, perform food preparation, and slice products.
• Manage and lead a crew of 3 to 7 people.
• Create employee schedules and place inventory orders.
• Fill in for the Manager in all capacities when needed.
• Assist with employee training and lead by example.
• Participate in management team meetings and strategy sessions.
• Participate in Jersey Mike’s training programs.
