About The Position

The Assistant Manager assists the General Manager with day-to-day store operations. The role is suited to a self-motivated, organized, hardworking person interested in growing with the company. The franchise employs 10–15 people, so team-building skills are important. The position includes food preparation and delivery duties and requires the ability to work 35–50 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The employer states that it is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas and offers flexible schedules, hourly pay paid biweekly, incentives, earned bonuses, earned paid vacation, overtime, and employee discounts. The position involves standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies and products, pushing and pulling trays, bending, reaching, squatting, climbing, repetitive hand use, driving deliveries, and working around ovens, coolers, outdoor conditions, and cleaning chemicals. Requirements

Reliable transportation.
Food Handler’s License preferred.
Able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays; the store is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Able to work 35–50 hours per week.
Excellent communication, organization, and team-building skills.
Basic computer skills; Word and Excel preferred.
Basic math and bookkeeping skills.
Minimum age of 18 years.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of food-industry experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of management experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
No more than 3 traffic violations in 3 years or 2 in 2 years.
Access to an insured vehicle approved for delivery drivers; vehicle must meet store and corporate safety standards and have a positive image.
Able to provide a Motor Vehicle Report from the DMV.
Approved vehicle insurance that covers delivery drivers.
Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to bend, reach, push, pull, squat, climb, and balance; tolerate extreme temperatures and repetitive hand use; and work with chemical cleaners.

Responsibilities

Assist the General Manager with day-to-day store operations.
