Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 1
About The Position
As a BoxLunch Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you support the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, training new employees, supporting daily store operations, and helping meet sales targets. BoxLunch uses its pop-culture retail business to support hunger relief: for every $10 spent, it donates a meal to Feeding America benefiting the communities it serves. Pay starts at the amount listed in the job posting; the final salary for new hires depends on factors including education, location, meeting minimum job requirements, training, and experience.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of retail store experience.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Communication, time-management, professionalism, and operations skills, along with a drive to develop colleagues.
- Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to navigate the store, merchandise products using approved store equipment, and pack and unpack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Provide a shopping experience that encourages customers to return, using product knowledge and customer-service skills.
- Cover the sales floor and provide leadership support when the Manager is unavailable.
- Open and close the store as needed.
- Process sales transactions, promote add-on sales, and support services such as BOPIS and curbside pickup.
- Close out the register and communicate shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
- Understand the store sales plan, comparable-sales goals, and key performance indicators, including UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram changes, including store maps, walls, fixtures, and merchandising mix.
- Communicate fashion-trend information to management and relevant headquarters partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and misuse of store merchandise.
- Help organize the stockroom and keep the store tidy.
- Help develop and retain a collaborative, passionate team.
- Perform other activities as assigned by the Store Leader.
