About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, helping ensure a positive customer experience, efficient inventory management, and a well-trained team. The role oversees daily operations, maintains store standards, and leads the team in achieving sales goals. It also supports a positive work culture, employee involvement, and change management within the retail organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in retail management or a related field.
• 2–4 years of retail experience as an Assistant Manager.
• 3–5 years of retail experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Ability to perform the listed physical functions with or without accommodation: squat/kneel/stoop, stand/bend/walk, twist, reach above shoulder, lift/carry, push/pull, and use hands for manual dexterity and grasping.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and maintain a welcoming store environment, including displays, signage, cleanliness, and organization.
• Train and coach team members to provide exceptional customer service and engagement.
• Oversee inventory flow, markdowns, ticketing, clearance management, pricing accuracy, and stockroom organization.
• Ensure damaged or expired items are removed promptly and establish daily and weekly freight goals.
• Train, develop, and provide ongoing feedback to team members on customer service, store policies, operational procedures, and compliance tasks.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
• Work with the Store Manager to create and implement marketing and promotional campaigns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
