About The Position

NORMAN’S, an employee-owned Hallmark Gold Crown retailer, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for its Prices Corner location in Wilmington, Delaware. The role supports the Store Manager in meeting sales and customer-service objectives and maintaining efficient store operations. Assistant Store Managers help foster a caring team atmosphere for customers, sales leaders, and associates, and are expected to show initiative, collaborate, and lead by example.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, equivalent, or higher.
At least 1 year of retail supervisory experience.
At least 1 year of customer service experience.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
Ability to continuously stand and walk; frequently push and pull; occasionally bend, stoop, crawl, reach above shoulders, kneel, and climb a ladder; and carry up to 40 pounds.
Highly motivated, with excellent customer service skills and retail supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Lead by example in applying the Customer CARE program, connecting genuinely with customers, building relationships, and driving retail sales.
Prioritize the customer in store interactions and decisions.
Assist the Store Manager with general store operations, including event planning, shipment processing and merchandising, order fulfillment, and promotion management.
Help develop and train staff on new products and processes.
Provide professional, unbiased leadership, especially when the Store Manager is absent.
Learn and use the point-of-sale software system to maintain accuracy in inventory, sales, and markdowns.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
