About The Position

The Assistant Manager assists with management responsibilities and ensures the efficiency and quality of restaurant operations. The role is performed under general supervision and involves continuous contact with customers and employees. Job training normally takes eight to eighteen months to gain the required job knowledge. The Assistant Manager supervises Shift Leaders and Team Members when serving as the Manager in Charge (MIC).

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Be clean, neat, and well groomed.
Have good interpersonal communication skills for working with customers and employees.
Have a basic understanding of fast-food operations, production procedures, and deployment procedures.
Be able to master cash control and understand and ensure adherence to Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Hospitality guidelines.
Understand basic principles of sales forecasting and scheduling, cost control, inventory, profit and loss statements, and personnel administration.
Be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Have good hearing to work with customers and fellow employees and to work the drive-through when necessary.
Have good vision to observe store dynamics and safely operate kitchen equipment.
Be honest, assertive, and aggressive while remaining well mannered.
Be able to pay attention to detail, cope with pressure, and remain calm in challenging situations.
Be able to work as a team member and perform duties with minimal disruption to customers or fellow employees.
Be able to tolerate standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and stooping during 90% of shift time.
Have good manual dexterity to work rapidly and accurately during rush periods.

Responsibilities

Assist with management of all restaurant operations.
Ensure customer satisfaction by providing quick, efficient service and quality products, while maintaining quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitality standards.
Help create and maintain a positive, cooperative atmosphere among employees and customers.
Assist with hiring, training, and reviewing employee performance.
Perform accounting responsibilities and prepare reports for submission to the home office.
Administer the ACT program.
Prepare customer orders quickly, according to specifications, and to the highest possible quality.
Work as a team member to provide consistent customer satisfaction through quality, service, and cleanliness.
Prioritize work by serving customers first, then maintaining the dining room, and then maintaining the work area.
Operate and maintain knowledge of all kitchen and restaurant equipment.
Acknowledge and speak to customers in a friendly and courteous manner when possible.
Report needed equipment or facility repairs to the Maintenance Department.
