About The Position

Braum's Assistant Managers execute the company's brand strategy and promote its vision, mission, and values to deliver a strong customer experience and maximize sales. They support store crew members and unit goals through leadership, coaching, and team development. The role oversees daily operations across food service, the grocery market, and fountain sales, and shares responsibility for implementing and following store policies and practices. The position has a 5:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. shift, a rotating three-week schedule with varying work days, and an expected 45-hour work week. The Assistant Manager reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

Two years of experience.
Retail management experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Customer focus and a strong work ethic with high standards for integrity.
Positive approach to training, developing, and interacting with all levels of the store team.
Ability to identify effective team alignment to enhance performance.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow practices and procedures.
Able to review, understand, and analyze reporting results.
A criminal background check and job-fit assessment are required as part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

Teach, coach, and provide leadership to store crew members.
Maximize store sales through customer satisfaction and food quality.
Oversee daily operations of the food service function, grocery market, and fountain sales.
Participate in monitoring inventory and supply levels, kitchen equipment, safety, and cleanliness as needed.
Share responsibility for ensuring store policies and practices are implemented and followed.
Help build a successful team and foster an environment of trust.
Adapt to customer and employee needs and changing store conditions.
Communicate effectively with leadership team members and follow through on goals and procedures.
