About The Position

The Assistant Manager oversees everything that happens during a shift, setting an example for the crew and ensuring company policies and procedures are followed. The role includes managing staffing, paperwork, costs, cash, food, inventory, customer relations, schedules, store standards, cleanliness, marketing, and profitability while providing excellent customer service. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The position works in a fast-paced pizza restaurant with exposure to varying temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. The description also includes delivery duties and driving requirements, including delivering products by car, delivering flyers and door hangers, and navigating delivery locations and adverse terrain.

Requirements

Ability to exercise judgment, perform basic math, and multitask.
Ability to follow company policies and procedures and direct crew members.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise movements quickly and accurately; ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Ability to meet the physical demands described, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, crouching, reaching, and frequent hand use.
Transportation to and from work.
For delivery duties: valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards; access to an insured vehicle usable for delivery; and navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses.
For delivery duties: ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying products.
For delivery duties: ability to carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing, and to drive within a designated delivery area.

When performing delivery duties, deliver products by car to customers, deliver flyers and door hangers, and navigate delivery sites.
