About The Position

Golden Nozzle Car Wash is seeking a hands-on, motivated Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of a high-volume car wash facility. The Assistant Manager works closely with the Site Manager to maximize site performance, develop team members, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. The role includes supporting staffing, scheduling, coaching, and performance feedback; maintaining clean, safe, operational facilities and equipment; improving workflow and vehicle throughput; responding to customer inquiries and concerns; supporting sales and membership growth; monitoring inventory; enforcing safety and regulatory requirements; reviewing operational performance; and carrying out site goals and business initiatives. The Assistant Manager may lead shifts and oversee operations in the Site Manager’s absence. The position requires open availability based on operational needs, the ability to work up to 50 hours per week with additional hours as needed, and availability for shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. At least one weekend day must be worked. Physical duties include maintaining facility safety, cleanliness, and appearance; lifting, carrying, and holding up to 50 pounds; working outdoors in temperatures from -10°F to 100°F; and standing, walking, and moving around vehicles for extended periods.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
Ability to work up to 50 hours per week, with additional hours as business needs require.
Flexible availability to cover shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
Must work at least one weekend day.
Open availability based on Golden Nozzle’s operational needs.
Ability to lift, carry, and hold up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work outdoors in temperatures ranging from -10°F to 100°F.
Ability to stand, walk, and move around vehicles for extended periods.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Supervisory or leadership experience; car wash, automotive, retail, or service industry experience is a plus.
Basic knowledge of car wash equipment, maintenance practices, and safety standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic operational software systems.

Responsibilities

Assist in supervising daily site operations, including staffing support, scheduling assistance, coaching, and performance feedback.
Help ensure the facility, equipment, and grounds are clean, safe, and fully operational.
Support workflow and vehicle-throughput improvements to minimize wait times and enhance customer experience.
Address customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally.
Assist with sales initiatives and membership growth strategies to drive revenue and customer retention.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering and restocking of chemicals, parts, and operational supplies.
Enforce company safety procedures and regulatory compliance standards.
Support review of operational reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to improve site performance.
Partner with the Site Manager to execute site-specific goals and business initiatives.
Help resolve employee and customer concerns to maintain a positive, productive environment.
Lead shifts and oversee operations in the Site Manager’s absence when needed.
Maintain the physical upkeep, safety, cleanliness, and overall appearance of store facilities.
