About The Position

The Assistant Manager of Club Operations works closely with the Club Director and management team to ensure the Club operates efficiently and seamlessly, overseeing day-to-day clubhouse operations, kitchen and bar services, and the overall member and guest experience. This role also manages all Clubhouse rentals and special events, ensuring the facility is well-prepared, welcoming, and maintained to the Club’s high standards of hospitality and excellence. Eligible for the Staff Recognition Fund bonus, subject to meeting program requirements and eligibility criteria in effect at the time of payout.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of club and/or food and beverage experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Experience with Coupa, Guest Connect, Tock, ALICE, Jonas, and IG systems preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40+ pounds.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Create a warm and welcoming environment where members and guests receive exceptional service every day.
  • Lead and support all food and beverage operations, including daily breakfast service, seasonal offerings, and popular member events such as Wine & Cheese and Après.
  • Maintain inventory of food, beverages, and operating supplies to ensure the Club is always prepared to deliver outstanding experiences.
  • Manage accounts payable for food and beverage purchases and other assigned Coupa purchase orders.
  • Partner with the Club Director to develop budgets and thoughtfully manage purchasing and labor expenses.
  • Build, coach, and support a team of kitchen staff, bartenders, and front-of-house employees, fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture.
  • Step in wherever needed to support the team and ensure a seamless member experience.
  • Manage payroll administration for direct reports.
  • Collaborate with culinary team members and vendor partners to create memorable food and beverage experiences for Club events and programs.
  • Complete all management responsibilities, including hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, employee development, and goal setting.
  • Coordinate housekeeping services to maintain a clean, comfortable, and inviting clubhouse environment.
  • Prepare reports, schedules, and other operational materials accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, labor, and food service regulations.
  • Work alongside the management team to keep Club facilities welcoming, well-maintained, and operating at their best, coordinating vendor support as needed.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and help create exceptional experiences throughout the Club.
  • Support special programs, events, and other operational needs that contribute to the success of the Club.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
