About The Position

The Assistant Manager, Winter Activities will support the daily operation of the resort's winter activities program (including tubing and other activity areas). This role is responsible for operational direction across the team — staffing, facility readiness, equipment maintenance, opening and closing procedures, and guest experience — while directly monitoring safety and quality across all activity areas.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • At least 2 years of Guest Service Experience
  • Minimum 2 years previous leadership experience in a dynamic operational setting
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors for up to 10 hours in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry 100lbs
  • Excellent guest service
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, comprehend, and understand English fluently
  • Ability to work the entire length of the season
  • Satisfactory motor vehicle check and a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with and adhere to the policies and procedures of the resort handbook and best practices
  • Support activities in daily operations across all activity areas, including ticket redemption
  • Responsible for guest and employee safety including compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures, daily operational logs, and emergency response
  • Actively foresee, plan for, and mitigate hazards or risks across all activity areas
  • Lead training assessments, check-off forms, and provide daily coaching and guidance to Team Leads and Activities employees
  • Safe use of company vehicles
  • Ensure compliance with daily, monthly, and annual inspection logs across all areas
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling daily payroll, budget, and scheduling
  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external guest interactions
  • Performance management for a team of 20+ (including Team Leads) to meet guest service, employee engagement, safety, and financial goals
  • Manage activity inventory and liaise with other departments to promote a seamless customer experience
  • Complete performance appraisals and end-of-season forms; approve performance appraisals, disciplinary documentation, and other HR activity
  • Other duties as assigned
