About The Position

Texas Roadhouse is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to assist the Kitchen Manager with overseeing daily Back of House operations and with ordering, receiving, preparing, and presenting food. The position focuses on producing made-from-scratch food, maintaining food and service consistency, and helping create a safe, clean environment for employees and guests. The Assistant Kitchen Manager also supports the development of Back of House employees and helps maintain the restaurant’s culture and core values.

Responsibilities

Supervise and oversee food production.
Enforce compliance with employment policies in the area of responsibility, in conjunction with management.
Monitor tickets and set the pace during peak hours.
Provide hands-on supervision and assist with serving, hosting, cooking, and other restaurant tasks as needed.
Conduct formal line taste and temperature checks.
Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and storage of items.
Manage inventory and track waste at the direction of the Kitchen Manager.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness and proper equipment maintenance, directly or through staff.
Ensure consistency in food and service to increase sales.
Practice safe food-handling procedures.
Ensure Back of House employees follow established recipes and procedures.
Create a safe environment and assist in developing Back of House employees.
Maintain restaurant cleanliness and guest safety.
Maintain the restaurant’s culture and demonstrate its core values: passion, integrity, partnership, and fun with purpose.
