Assistant Housekeeping Manager
About The Position
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager oversees daily housekeeping operations at Madeline Hotel & Residences, Auberge Collection, helping ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean, orderly, and presented to established standards. The role supports a dedicated team in delivering immaculate, welcoming spaces and a positive guest experience. The position assists with recruiting, training, and managing staff; maintaining housekeeping supplies and equipment; controlling inventory and reducing waste; inspecting spaces for cleanliness and maintenance standards; and responding to guest inquiries or concerns related to housekeeping. This is a full-time, year-round, exempt position in Telluride’s Mountain Village. The targeted compensation range is $60,000–$65,000, with a competitive compensation package.
Requirements
- Substantial experience in housekeeping roles within the hospitality industry, including knowledge of cleaning protocols, inventory management, and quality assurance.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience, with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage a housekeeping team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain high standards of cleanliness and order in guest rooms and public areas.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet or exceed cleanliness, order, and presentation standards.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and managing housekeeping staff, including providing guidance on cleaning protocols and performance expectations and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Manage housekeeping supplies and equipment, using inventory controls to optimize resource use, reduce waste, and maintain availability of necessary items.
- Conduct regular inspections for cleanliness and maintenance standards and promptly address issues.
- Respond to guest inquiries and concerns related to housekeeping, resolving issues promptly and supporting a positive guest experience.
