About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager with overseeing the store’s daily operations. The role includes mentoring team members to provide fast, friendly service and ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. The position also supports store maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness, and performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Maintain a courteous, friendly attitude.
• Have at least one year of retail experience.
• Have general computer knowledge.
• Be able to read, write, and operate electronic equipment and process sales transactions.
• Have good communication skills and be able to follow instructions.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Be able to stand for extended periods, kneel, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, and at times lift up to 30 pounds.
• Be able to access all areas of the store.
• Be able to work any shift within the store’s operational hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operation of the store.
• Mentor team members to provide fast and friendly service and a great customer shopping experience.
• Stock and restock merchandise throughout the facility.
• Check in vendor deliveries.
• Complete required paperwork, including shift reports, gas reconciliations, and cigarette counts.
• Assist with training.
• Assist the Store Manager as needed.
• Help ensure the physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of store facilities.
• Perform other related duties as required.
