About The Position

Buffalo Lodging Associates is hiring an Assistant General Manager for its Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Brockton/Easton, an 88-suite hotel with full kitchens. The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in providing leadership, guidance, and support to the hotel team while fostering Buffalo Lodging Associates’ values of Excellence, Passion, Integrity, and Inclusive. The role oversees facility operations when the General Manager is absent and manages front office operations, including direct supervision of front desk and food and beverage staff.

Requirements

Two years of related management experience and hotel brand knowledge.
Extensive experience with rooms, housekeeping, and food and beverage.
Working knowledge of hotel operations, including security and safety programs, personnel (HR) relations, quality assurance programs, and long-range planning.
Bachelor’s degree in hotel management, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expertise in standard hotel management systems.
Hands-on leadership.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Oversee hotel facility operations in the General Manager’s absence, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, food and beverage, and human resources.
Manage front office operations and directly supervise front desk and food and beverage staff.
Resolve guest concerns while maintaining high franchise Guest Service scores.
Foster a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management.
Interview, hire, train, appraise, reward, and coach employees; plan, assign, and direct work; address complaints and resolve concerns.
Complete administrative tasks, including reporting, inventories, and accounting processes.
