About The Position

Tommy Bahama is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help lead front-of-house restaurant operations and team development. The role focuses on guest service, effective execution of company policies and training programs, and creating an engaging environment that supports sales, service success, and employee growth. The Assistant General Manager partners with the General Manager on recruiting and team development and helps maintain a clean, safe, professional restaurant environment. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of a shift.
• Safely maneuver equipment and tools such as hand carts, blenders, knives, slicers, and wine keys.
• Work scheduled shifts determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Create a learning environment for front-of-house restaurant team members that supports sales and service success and internal career growth.
• Prioritize guest service and ensure front-of-house operations run efficiently and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Facilitate company learning and training programs, follow up, and monitor on-the-job transfer of learned skills.
• Partner with the General Manager to implement strategies for increasing qualified applicants, including proactive recruiting.
• Hire, develop, and mentor team members.
• Encourage open, authentic dialogue with the restaurant team and regional and corporate partners.
• Ensure consistent execution of company policies and procedures.
• Incorporate and administer applicable safety programs for the restaurant, employees, and guests.
• Help create a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
